How to Install PowerUpSkool in Chrome: Store and ZIP Options
The download page recommends the store; the ZIP remains available as a manual Developer mode alternative.

To install PowerUpSkool in Chrome, open the download page and use its Chrome Web Store button. That is the recommended route in the current workflow. The ZIP is a manual alternative, not a required step. PowerUpSkool is an independent extension: installing it does not change your relationship with Skool or your account permissions.
Recommended route: the store listing
- Open /en/download and select “Add to Chrome (store).”
- On the linked listing, review the extension name and the permissions Chrome displays.
- Select “Add to Chrome” and confirm only if you accept those permissions.
- Open a Skool community using your usual session, and reload the page if it was already open.
- Open the panel using its available control; you can also try Alt+P (Option+P on Mac, depending on the keyboard), and check that it belongs to the intended community.
Alternative: load the extracted ZIP
If you need manual installation, select “Download ZIP” on the same page and extract the archive into a stable folder. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and choose “Load unpacked.” Select the folder containing manifest.json, not the ZIP or an empty parent folder. Keep that folder while using the installation. Unlike the store route, this alternative requires you to manage files and updates manually. You do not need to keep both installation methods active in the same browser profile.
Activate the license and verify the result
Open the PowerUpSkool icon in the extensions toolbar and activate a free or paid license by pasting the key from your account dashboard. Tools require a valid license and community authorization. Validation requires a connection to the service. Then return to Skool and review the plan status and detected role. Hypothetical example: Ana installs from the store but already had the feed open. She reloads that tab, opens the panel, and checks her license. She does not download the ZIP again; she first verifies the installation she already has.
If the panel is missing, check before reinstalling
Check that the extension is enabled, that you are using the Chrome profile where you installed it, and that the tab is on https://www.skool.com. The code declares that domain as its execution scope. Also check whether your organization blocks extensions or Developer mode. Never paste a Skool password into the license field. If the issue continues, record the installation method and displayed error without sharing license keys, account credentials, or personal information.
Open the current download page and choose the store or ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to enable Developer mode?
Only when loading the extracted ZIP. Installation through the linked store does not require that step.
