Your First PowerUpSkool Scan: What It Traverses and What May Be Missing
Scanning broadens feed observation, but finishing the traversal does not prove the entire community was read.

PowerUpSkool’s first scan traverses the feed by scrolling and tries the categories it can discover and open. It broadens the observed collection beyond the initial view, but it does not guarantee full coverage. “Full scan” describes the tool’s workflow, not certification that every post, reply, or person in the community is represented.
Prepare an identifiable observation
Open the intended community and go to its feed before starting. Check the detected role and allow the page to load. Separately note the date, community, and starting point if you plan to use the result in a report. This independent extension does not obtain additional Skool permissions: it can only work with what your session can access. Do not equate feed cards with the complete contents of every thread, including replies that may not have been loaded.
Run and inspect the traversal
- Open the panel and select “Full scan” from the available controls.
- Watch the post and topic progress while the extension traverses the feed.
- Avoid manually switching communities or categories during the process.
- If you need to interrupt it, use “Stop scan” and treat the collected set as partial.
- Afterward, review the observed volume and check it against several posts and categories you know.
Hypothetical example: a category is missing
Imagine you know of four categories, but the result reflects three. Before concluding that the fourth has no activity, open it manually and check whether it was accessible and loaded correctly. If the first traversal was interrupted or the category could not open, record that gap. You can repeat the scan when the page is stable. In your report, write “posts observed in traversed categories,” not “every community post.” That distinction changes which decisions the evidence can reasonably support.
Finished does not mean exhaustive
The code sets budgets for categories, scrolling rounds, and posts. Traversal also stops when it no longer detects new cards, which slow loading can affect. Some categories may fail to open. Therefore, the absence of a warning does not establish the absence of gaps. Also, once a partial scan has collected posts, analyses can use that collection instead of the initial view. Always check scope before interpreting percentages, assigning tasks, or presenting a trend as evidence of a community-wide change.

Frequently asked questions
Can I interpret zero results as zero activity?
Not without checking the page and scope. Access, loading, navigation, or interruption can leave content missing.
