How to Use Today in PowerUpSkool to Prioritize Tasks Thoughtfully
Today is an intervention inbox, not an instruction to contact everyone automatically.

PowerUpSkool’s Today tab gathers task cards from observed content and, depending on available capabilities, earlier comparisons. Use it to choose your next intervention, not to follow an unreviewed ranking. Drafts are starting points, while Done and Tomorrow organize work: they do not establish that replies were published, problems were solved, or members were retained.
Refresh the context before ordering the queue
Open the feed or run a scan to build the inbox from an identifiable collection. If traversal was incomplete, tasks will reflect that partial coverage too. An unanswered-question signal can rely on a card with no comments and a question mark; it does not replace reading the thread. Check for a recent reply, a rhetorical question, or an author who already found a solution elsewhere. Meaningful prioritization begins with that check, rather than with the card’s position alone.
Apply a short review routine
- First review concrete blockers: session access, confusing instructions, or a pending operational question.
- Open the original content and check that the task is still relevant.
- Adapt the draft to the problem and community tone; remove assumptions about the person.
- Publish or contact manually through an appropriate channel, if warranted.
- Mark Done after carrying out the intervention, or Tomorrow when there is a clear reason to defer it.
Hypothetical example: a question versus a quiet-member signal
Suppose Today shows a question about this afternoon’s workshop and a card about someone participating less. You handle the workshop first because the blocker has a deadline and a verifiable solution. Then you review the second signal: perhaps that person announced a vacation. In that case, you do not send a rescue message; you adjust your decision to the context. Closing the first card records completed work. It does not prove that the workshop will fill or that the second person intends to leave.
Do not make the streak the goal
The inbox can display closed actions, pending work, and a daily streak. These describe tool usage, not satisfaction or continued membership. Avoid closing cards to improve the counter or indefinitely deferring difficult cases. Periodically review which tasks resolved an observable problem and which produced no useful change. Today is also a management feature in this independent extension; availability depends on the detected role and enabled capabilities, not simply on installing the browser add-on.

Frequently asked questions
Does Done send the draft message?
Do not interpret it that way. Done records task closure; review and carry out communication separately.
